Also these dimmers will not work for incandescent fixtures. You cannot mix fluorescent fixtures and incandescent fixtures on the same dimmer switch.

The new t8 led tubes are not working on my ballasts. Fluorescent lights are commonly used because of their low operating cost. To replace remove the old tube and bring it to the hardware store. The no part of this question is that the conventional dimmer switches you can purchase at the hardware store are designed for incandescent lighting only not fluorescent lighting.
